To Take a Picture of the Moon with a Sony H7, you have to attach the Sony H7 to a tripod. You need to Place the screw at the top of the tripod into the small hole in the middle of the bottom of the camera. You must turn the dial on the tripod to lock the camera into place. You should make sure that the tripod screw is not larger than 7/32 of an inch or 5.5mm as a longer screw may damage the camera when you screw it all the way in. After that, Position the tripod on the ground and direct the camera at the moon.
You can try to get some images in the foreground of the picture. Then, Press the “Power” button that is located just to the left of the dial on top of the device. Next, turn the dial on the top of the H7 to “M.” Forth, Turn the wheel dial on the back of the camera until “ISO###” where “###” is a number between 80 and 3,200 is highlighted. You have to Press the “Control” button that is in the middle of the wheel dial and the “ISO###” will turn yellow.
You need to turn the wheel dial until you see “ISO100.” You must press the “Control” button to make the change. After that, Rotate the wheel dial again to highlight “F###” along the bottom of the screen. You must Press the “Control” button. You should Turn the wheel dial until it reads “F8.0″ and press the “Control” button again.
Then, Turn the wheel dial to highlight the number directly to the left of “F8.0.” You can Press the “Control” button. You have to Turn the dial until this number reads “125″ and press the control button again. Next, turn the wheel dial to highlight the small box in the lower right corner of the screen. You need to Press the “Control” button to select it.
You must rotate the dial until the box changes to a small hand with the letter “F” printed on it. You should Use the left and right arrows on either side of the Control button to adjust the focus until the moon looks good on the LCD. Forth, Press the shutter release button on top of the camera to snap your picture of the moon. To help keep your camera vibration-free, you can use the remote control that came with the camera if possible.
